wow, killer production and performance...I'd say turn up the vox a little but I'm notorious for quiet vocals myselLaughing My Arse Off very killer job guys, the reverb on the axe is reminiscent of the original(great soloing btw!) and the percussion is awesome...Groovin

Hendrix cover, vocals are more Dylan, and they are a little buried - bring the vocals up a little. I get the feeling you are shy about the vocal track. Belt them out – if you are going to sing……… SING.

The slides are very kewl, some of the picked lead is a little too far behind the beat - a little of that is kewl - but too much and you begin to drag the tune. The whole production is awash in effects; listen to how crisp Jimi's vocals were on the original. As well it is always better to under achieve in the effects department - a little can go along way.

This is a very ambitious tune to do – I give you kudos for covering it. Very little separates this from being just a cover than from being a great cover.

Work it out… Good Job

very good guitar playing. i'd lose a tad of reverb on the guitar track, tho...slide part is excellent. minor mixing issues aside, very kool track Groovin congrats on your first collab!!! High Five!

Wow. What a song to cover.

I wish the vocal had been less covered in reverb and mate I know you have a good voice. A more direct vocal would have built this just a bit more. That’s not to say its not good just a little distant in its set-up here. Hell what would i know I cover my own work in it so...

The guitar playing blows me away and well this is bloody cool stuff and I am loving this a hell of a lot. I like the way you push your expression into your pronunciation of the lyrics. What a cool collab this is. Well done!!

Not too sure if i've heard the original.May have been before my time...but i like the tune.Theres lots of reverb in this which makes some of parts abit unclear in the mix.The vocal harmonies here and there are cool.Love the slide guitar goin on, sounds awesome Nodding nice collab.

The reverb is a bit heavy, but I have heard some of Hendrix's own versions that were almost as thick with it. GeneHilbert says above that the vox sounded buried to him. Did you remix since then? If so, maybe you over-did it because to me, the vox sound a bit too hot in the mix.

...could just be our different ears.

Overall, I think you and Karem did a great job! Thumbs Up

It sounds like you two had a hell of a lot of fun recording it. I liked it and the original.

Great collab. The guitar is sweet! The vocals in the begining need to be brought out a little and then brought down in the last half. Other than the vocal levels, this is great! Clapping Clapping

Great guitar - I loved the reverb on it because it separated it from the famous Hendrix version and made it more haunting Nodding Thumbs Up You've also made the vocals your own and you haven't been tempted to try and sound like any of the other versions which is great. Vox are a little quiet here and there - you did a good job so don't be concerned about turning them up a bit. Great collabs guys! Clapping

OOOOOO SNNNNAP!
beautiful take to Hendrix's classic
vocals are actually quite close to how he does them. Actually, its better.. no jokes
the wah-wah work is pretty nice, i loved that (of course, who can resist)
i actually dont like this song as much... hendrix's voice is quite.... AHEM! yes, u get where im going,
but yea, this makes it better
i dunno if u already have, but go listen to dave matthew's cover to this one, pretty good too... i've almost liked all the covers to this song, but the original itself (kinda like Hurt - johnny cash... frgot who did the original )

anyway yea, this is excellent work, the percussion is spot on, from what i can hear,
GRRRReat collab!

Nice cover dude.
Your vocs have a touch of Mark Knofler to them. There is way tooo much reverb on the guitar. The mix is a little dodgy here and there, but the performance is good. Great song this.
